No murder weapon. Faulty DNA. No motive. Even the time of death was wrong by nearly an hour. The Italian appeals court that cleared Amanda Knox in the killing of her roommate explained its ruling on Thursday: The evidence just didn't hold up.

In a Nancy Grace world pundit and media determinations would be all justice requires to be correctly served.  For years she and others worked diligently to support a self-serving prosecutor in his delusional single-minded and poorly evidenced persecution of Knox. 

Sensationalized "reporting" serves no-one well and detracts from real justice.  Whipping people into frenzies of emotion based opinion in the age of electronic mass media works against true justice.  Even now there are millions around the world who believe.. no.. millions who KNOW that Amanda Knox IS guilty - because their favorite "news" services told them so day after day with amoral salacious intent.  America's legal pundit equivalencies to Jerry Springer (such as Nancy Grace) do far more damage than their loyal viewers will ever want to admit.  Trial by public opinion is what Guiliano Mignini required for justice to be deliberately miscarried... and that is just the type of trial which today's "News" service borne judicial opinionators are happily thrilled to provide.
